HEY!

NICE TO MEET YOU

ABOUT ME!

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Maddie Wideman, and I’m a funky studio artist based in Atlanta, GA. I’ve had a knack for all things creative and different ever since I was young, which I have harnessed throughout the years to form a fragrant passion for visual representations of raw emotion. Guided by my love for Jesus, empathy is a strong sentiment I aim to evoke through my works, and my desire is to let my pieces be tangible visuals of biblical compassion. My goal is to create uniquely layered pieces guided by His hand to testify of what He's freed me from, and give Him back glory for this gift. Along with my expressionistic specialties, I also love to create portraits, architectural paintings, and even upcycle clothing! Outside of creating art you can find me, working out, attending worship nights, dancing, hanging out with friends, being outdoors, and (attempting to) play guitar!

I graduated from Samford University with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2023. I am well equipped and proficient in many mediums such as watercolor, acrylic, oil, graphite, charcoal, and mixed media. I love all forms of art, but specialize in mixed media and draw visual influence from the pop art era as well as artists like Terry Urban, and Matt Eddmenson. One part of my creative process involves the utilization of music and the Lord to guide my mind to what colors and images get to be used. I desire to shine a new light into the oftentimes heavy-darkness of the art world through raw heartfelt works. So no matter your dream idea, I would love to partner up to create your one-of-a-kind, memorable, and funky work of art!
